Project Description

The customer I collaborated with is the council of Aarhus, Denmark. My goal was to create a responsive website that would help people to discover new natural hidden places and to navigate themselves easily in and around the town of Aarhus. I focused myself on the nature and natural hidden places next to water environment with scenic, unique, and picturesque views in the middle of Aarhus as a theme for my digital outcome.

The process

Mockup
Discovery and Insights

Initiating the project with detailed user research to uncover pain points and requirements. This phase involved conducting surveys, interviews, and a competitive analysis to gather crucial insights.

Ideation and Prototyping

Generating wireframes and prototypes to visualize the website's structure and functionality. This process enabled early user feedback and iterative design enhancements to ensure a robust user experience.

UI Design and Evaluation

Designing a user-friendly interface with a focus on aesthetics and usability. User testing sessions were conducted to validate the design, ensuring it meets user expectations before final implementation.

Findings

After I interviewed all the people and gathered all the information, I went through their answers, identified patterns, and organized them into a diagram.

User Persona

Through interviews, I collected information and demographic details about the typical individuals who visit the place. Both desk and field research enabled me, as a researcher, to identify a specific target group and helped me in customizing the digital experience of my product to match the specific characteristics of the users. After that, I started with creating my User Persona - a girl named Zuzanna Kowalski.

Style Tile

Here, my approach involved using a colour picker on picture of the main place, extracting the primary colours to form my colour palette. As I expected, the dominant colours turned out to be various shades of green and white.
